China's gold production increases by 13.0% Jan-Aug 2014

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Oct 14 - According to data released by China Gold Association, China’s gold output increased by 13.0% year-on-year to 305.2t during the first eight months of 2014.
244.5t of gold ingots were produced directly from gold concentrate during the same period of 2014, up by 10.8% year-on-year and 60.7t of gold ingots were the byproducts of some base metals during the same period, up by 22.8% year-on-year.
China’s gold output is 257.8t during the first seven months of 2014, up by 11.0% year-on-year.

China’s gold production reached 428.16t in 2013. It has been the seventh consecutive year to become the largest gold producer in the world. China’s gold consumption reached 1,176.40t in 2013, taking India’s place to become the largest gold consumer in the world.
